Thank you for taking the time to respond! There’s no “how to write” resources I can recommend, other than just suggesting you write all the damn time. I’ve been writing since I was probably seven years old (I’m 47 now), I’ve worked as a copywriter for almost 20 years, and I’ve been writing humor pieces and essays for almost two years. The more you do it, the more you learn. I’d also add, the more you do it, the more you allow your work to be scrutinized and criticized constructively by others, the more you learn. You can’t just do it in a bubble.
